I am attempting to have a single firework trail assent, explode and generate a title from the place where it explodes. I've got the Fireworks1 controls set to only generate one stream at a time. This then traveles across the screen. The problem is that it appears to free run. This makes timing with other effects impossible. Is there some way of having the trail begin at a set time so that at some predetermined time later when the trail reaches a predetermined point I can combine it with other effects?

You can use the EMISSION property of the particle layer to turn the fire on and off.

Emission property does turn it off. However to use this effect I must me able to turn it on predictably. I am using a value of 0.1 which gives me a time between emissions (firings) of about 8 sec. When I start a title the first key is set emission = 0. The second key I set emission to 0.1. Apparently the emission is free running and some times it starts immitately, other times it can start many seconds after the emissions is set to a value. I'm trying to have an emission to fire each time I change its value from 0 to some value>0. Is there a control which when set at a key time starts flight immediatly?
Thanks.

Why don't you place your keys very close to each other?

When you place a key with an emission property of 1000 immediately after a key with an emission of 0, I'm sure your particles will be launched immediately.
