Hi,
I was wanting to do a biggening of the Universe big bang show. I tried exploding test but that didnt work so well (letters breaking up not like new start planets etc)l.
So I went searching through many pages of the gallery (wish the gallery had a search feature).
I found one that possibly I could modify to represent a Big Bang. It was Happy20010.
1. Is there a Big Bang show out there in Blufftitler land I could use?
2. How do you get the layers to do what you want? for example, I wanted to just have all black at first and then increase the transparency of certain layers from non seeing to exploding the whole screen. But I just can not figure out how to do this. I have been to all the layers and tried all the parameters (moving the slider left to right) and can not determine which layer(s) to manipulate (and the correct effects (size, position etc.)
This has probably been the hardest learning curve (determining which layer and what effect to change to create the desired effect). If the layer issue (for me) gets resolved in the next release (hinted at February.....please let me Beta test it for you), this would boost the productivity considerably!
Anyway, how do I make these layers react so that it starts out all black, and then Boom a flash of light (like in Happy2010.bt) goes from real small to the whole screen (and hiding the magic tree (balls that would not make the show look like a Big bang?
Thanks in advance and thanks for the previous posts helping me in other issues I having problems with in this great program.

Some combination of plasma, particles, and making textures into spheres (drop down menu under the box where you type text) might give you the results want.

Bluff Titler provides many ways to get a particular look. That is its power as well as its challenge.

Here are some examples of techniques you could use:

If your background is black (which in a New show means the Ambient Light is set to black) coloring something black will make it invisible. You can then use the color sliders to make it appear when you want it to.

Setting the size to 0 will also make it invisible, then the size sliders can make it appear at the right time in your show.

If you can post a link to a video that looks something like what you are trying to do, some of us might be able to help.

I just finished designing a set of tutorials for creating and modifying shows and hope to begin the video recording next week. Part 1 covers making sense of the layers. That doesn't help you today, but something should be ready in a week or two.
