NextPreviousHomeSketch--attached layers "point up" vs "follow sketch"

What is the difference here? When does it matter? Every experiment I've tried, I cannot see a difference in these settings. Not even sure what it's supposed to do. But the User Guide is clear:
"Attached Layers point upwards
Attached layer always point upwards.
Attached Layers follow Sketch
Attached layers follow the curves of the sketch."

This effect is only noticeable when you attach a layer to your sketch.

For example you can attach a text layer to a sketch layer by choosing the menu item LAYER > ATTACH LAYER > ATTACH TEXT TO ACTIVE LAYER...

When using the ATTACHED LAYERS FOLLOW SKETCH option, the text rotates when the path curves: the texts follows the path.
