When I am exporting a movie it exports on a much smaller scale. I need it to be 144 X 64. It looks fine until I export. It only fills up about half of our LED. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe the visible resolution differs from the output resolution because the view isn't set to 100%.

You can set the view and resolution in the FILE > SET SHOW RESOLUTION... dialog.

The same dialog is displayed when you press the SET SHOW RESOLUTION... button on the tool window.

I have tried that, thank you for your response. When I play it on my sign it is not the correct size. While I am creating the show it looks good. When it is exporting the show, it shrinks it. It even shrinks it on my computer screen while exporting, when it is finished exporting it returns to normal size. Help....

What are your settings of the FILE > SET SHOW RESOLUTION dialog?

What is the resolution of the exported video?

And which version of BluffTitler are you using?

Settings are fine.

What is the resolution of the exported AVI file?

(right click on the video file, choose properties > details and read the frame width and height)

Frame Width 144
Frame Height 64

This means that the video is correctly exported.

Maybe the resolution of your LED is not 144 X 64.

An easy way to find out the required resolution is to examine a video or picture that correctly fills your LED.

I have been sending these signs for years. There is no doubt, that is the correct resolution. I was using an older version of your Bluff Titler program and everything worked fine. When I purchased the new version, is when the problems started. The show does come out at 144 X 64, the problem is, that the show only takes up about 1/3 of the 144X64, the rest is blank. The show shrinks when exported...If this canot be resolved please refund this purchase, and tell me how to reinstall the old version. Thanks!

This did solve the sizing problem. Thanks!! Why do I have to export at 100%?
On the old program, I could export a 400%. That is how I create the show(at 400%), so I can see better details. I also have a problem with Jaggies now. Any suggestions?

Could you try version 8.3.1.2 (released this morning) and let me know if this works for you?

You can download the latest version here:

Michiel,

Are there any notes which tell us what has changed since 8.3.1 so that we can decide if we need to upgrade?

IBMedia, 12 years ago

8.3.1.2 fixes a bug that with a bit of luck also solves Stephanie's issue.

No need to upgrade if you're not seeing black borders when exporting.

That did fix that. YAY!! I now am not able to move a layer to the back or front. Sorry to be such a pest. Any suggestions?

Great to hear the problem is fixed!

About your layer moving to the front question, maybe this gallery article can help:

I read the article. I am trying to put text in front of a picture. The picture is large and the text is small. I can only get the text in front by making the text to large. I need the small text in front of the large picture. How can I do this?

Stephanie, 12 years ago

By moving the text in front of the picture. You can do this with the 3th slider of the TEXT POSITION property of the text layer.

Or you can do this by moving the picture behind the text. You can do this with the 3th slider of the POSITION property of the picture layer.

The only way it will move in front of it, is if it is bigger. I need the text to stay smaller so that you can still see the picture behinf it. This did not happen with the older version. I have tried using the 3rd slider, I have also tried clicking on move active layer to the front. Not having success either way. Please advise.

I figured it out, 3D in foreground.
Thanks!
