How did you manage to get the lines to taper off? By using a pressure-sensitive graphics pen/tablet?

This sketchmap is fully computer generated. The idea is to add a module to Bixelangelo that can generate all kinds of organic, Jugendstil like shapes. However, as you can see, first experiments look more like a Jackson Pollock :)
