Next Previous Appearing & disappearing text, revisited

I keep experimenting with making text appear and then disappear in interesting ways. Although each of the sliders in the flexibility effect are supposed to be kept the same throughout, I got this nice disappearing effect by changing the 2nd slider: .5, .5, 0, .2 for the four keys. The first slider remained at 1. Was I just lucky that something didn't mess up?
