By default, BluffTitler uses the MP4 encoder that is built into Windows. If you are not happy with this encoder because it refuses to work on Windows 7, refuses to encode 4K, or stops at 4%, you can instruct BluffTitler to use an external encoder.

In the current version, BluffTitler supports 1 external encoder: FFmpeg.

Here's how to install it:

And the export with FFmpeg.exe works.

Exports in 4K work perfectly with a great rendering.
Great Thank you Michiel.

Been longing for this since the debut of Win 10 that caused my Win 7 to be left
in the drainage ditch of computing. Wife has Win 10 on her new machine and I
am not looking forward to the move. She hates it and is always asking me to
figure out how to do something on it. That being the case I am forced to learn
something I can do without. Yes I have installed some things that make her
Win 10 retro Win 7 but life still isn't the same. LOL

I will make good use of the MP4, thank you Michiel.....

Win64-4K ffmpeg-MP4 encoder rendering谢谢Michiel

liuyongcai, 11 months ago

I'm currently trying to encode on my Windows 10 machine (Razer with plenty of memory) a 1920x1080 show but it's stuck. It hit 4% encoding and just stopped.

Can I just stop it and try rendering again?

If so, what's the problem?

Teacherman, 10 months ago

Teacherman, the whole reason to use an external encoder is to fix that stuck-at-4% issue.

Are you sure you have installed FFmpeg and have instructed BluffTitler to use it? Please take a close look at the steps on this page.

I sure hope FFmpeg doesn't suffer from the same issue as the Windows encoder. If you know a better encoder, let us know and we'll add support for it.
