NextPreviousHomeMP4 Export Issues Beyond FHD.

Alex-Raymond T. | 7 months ago | 3 comments | 176 views

With the decoding filter "LAV Video Decoder", I have no difficulty in exporting MP4 in HD and FHD; but in 4K, 6K and 8K encoding does not start and remains at 0% indefinitely.
Is this normal or is it a performance problem on my PC?
In AVI, no problem, but to export my VR videos (so with adding metadata), I am forced to go through a converter. And I have not found a converter beyond 4K.
Thank you for your answers.

Decoding means importing/playing, so that's not used when exporting.

In the same dialog (SETTINGS > OPTIONS > DRIVERS) you can find an option for video encoding. Here you can set an external MP4 encoder that is used when exporting:

Dear Michiel,
Everything works perfectly now.
I saw that I had already thanked you during your initial demonstration. But I still completely forgot, and I'm afraid it does not get better with age ! 🙄
Due to a PC problem, I had to completely reinstall BT, and the option of the external encoder had disappeared.
Many thanks again, and sorry for bothering you.
