michiel, would it be possible to add the parameter AREA in smooth property to set the portion where smooth is applied, it could be very useful with bixpack 40 to prevent the extremities to move when you apply smooth effect on sketch. I don't know if it is possible. Thanks.

When smoothing a sketch, the extremes are smoothed out. That's the idea of smoothing. Defining an area that should not be smoothed creates all kinds of problems:
-how do you define that area?
-what shape has this area? A box? A sphere?
-how do you visualize this area?
-do you want a single area? Or the possibility to add as many areas as you want?
-what should happen at the edges of the area?
-should the smoothing gradually diminish from the centre of the area to its edge?

We have to prevent BluffTitler becomes a spline editor. That would make the app too complex. I think this is the task of the vector editing app. So I treat this request as a request for Bixelangelo. Thank you!

Michiel, I'm not aware of any technical difficulties that this poses, I was just thinking of an effect that would act as if each end of sketch segments were pinned. In my animation we see that when the smooth function is activated, the anchor points on the robot head also move and desolidarize sockets, and this is the problem I would have liked to avoid.

There are no technical difficulties. It's about GUI design and scope.

GUI design because we have to protect the simplicity and ease of use of the app.

And scope because BluffTitler is not a vector editor. That's the task of Bixelangelo.

maybe just a "lock anchors" (values 0 or 1) parameter in the Sketch Smooth property (no change in GUI)

Yes, i think it gives some possibilites to simulate vibrant strings, pipe deformation, Bicpack40 links etc.. asociated with VJ oscilator and physics.
