liuyongcai, LostBoyz, chaver and 4 others like this!

The particles in version, launched today, can be sorted. To do that, mark the SORT ELEMENTS checkbox in the LAYER > ACTIVE LAYER PROPERTIES.... dialog.

This is important when the particle layer uses a transparent texture. In the above screenshot you can see that without sorting, ugly aliasing artifacts appear at the edges of the textures.

Sorting particles is only necessary when using alpha blending. When using additive blending, which pretty much all particle layers do, they do not have to be sorted.

Attached you can find the test show. For more info:

Other changes since version 15.3:

-Updated translations: Francais, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Suomi, Turkce, Slovenian

-New particle layer style: 3D circles

-New picture layer style: 2D in background

-Optimization: particle layer uses much less memory

-Optimization: limited resolution shadowmap more effectively used

-Convenience: skybox now automatically ignored when rendering shadowmap

-Changed effect: ProceduralTextures\BezierCurve now updates the depth buffer

-Changed effect: Special/Drone effect updated. Now ready for use in a future BixPack:

-Bugfix: file dialog no longer crashes when pointing to the root of C.

-Bugfix: projected shadows no longer ignore the fog
