The DECORATION DENSITY and DECORATION SIZE properties of the text layer are used by the following 7 effects:


You can select the effect with the 3th dropdown below the textbox.

Another option is to press the ATTACH BORDER TO ACTIVE LAYER... When the decoration effect is attached to another text layer, only the decorations itself are rendered. This way you can give the decorations its own material.

The DECORATION DENSITY property controls the amount of decorations. A higher density means more decorations.

The DECORATION SIZE property controls the shape and positions of the decorations. The exact behaviour depends on the selected effect. Play around with the 3 sliders to find out what they do.
