Here's an effect that makes your balls bounce.

There are a million ways to improve this effect, up to a full physics engine, but if you simply want a bouncing ball this might be the effect you're looking for.

It has been designed for use in the picture layer in SPHERE mode (1st dropdown below the textbox), but you can apply it to any layer type you want.

Been playing around with this effect on an NFL Football and by lowering the FX Bounce Height and FX Bounce Period where the ball settle, it works pretty well and with only 2 key frames. Where the ball settles though, you have to set the height to .1 instead of 0 or the ball disappears.

I like the basketball as well. I think I will use it for a video sequence we're putting together.

Can someone here help me with the concept of bump maps? What are they, and how do I use them?
