This effect simulates the shutter blades of your camera that is used to control the diaphragm (aperture). It works great applied to a picture or camera layer.

The effect has been updated.

It now has an option to use the aspect ratio of the 1st texture. So if your picture is not square, but rectangular the aperture is oval.

And the 2nd texture is used to texture the blades.

Click on the DOWNLOAD MEDIA FILES button to download the new version.

Thank you for your feedback!

Michiel,
I notice there has been a couple of little upgrades since I upgraded to ver 12. I downloaded the upgrade but when I try and run the installer it first prompts me to run an uninstaller. That sort of caught me by surprise. Is that the proper sequence? All of a sudden I was afraid I was going to lose everything.

Soooo does the UPGRADE process involve completely uninstalling the 'old' version first and then installing the new upgraded version? I bailed out when I was informed that BT was about to be uninstalled.

MrGruntHunter, 4 years ago

The installer uninstalls the old version before it installs the new version.

If you want full control you can download the ZIP version:
