NextPreviousHomeTUNNEL QUESTION

Hi-

FIRST,
Previous responses to a different post REALLY helped me to understand BT better and I am most appreciative as I slowly but surely get up to speed.

Having some problems posting, so if a similar question appears twice, my apologies. I think I clicked a wrong button.

I'm using the first 25 seconds of the BT Tunnel and have a concrete grunge texture with simulated railroad tracks on the ground. Looks good but OF COURSE the railroad tracks ALSO appear on the ceiling.

Is there any way to just have one image on the ground of the tunnel? Even if the top is flat black with no movement, that would be better than tracks on the top.

Know what I mean?

Many thanks, Bob

You have drawn tracks in the texture?

Use the property texture size so the texture is only used ones in the tunnel.
Use the property texture position to move the track back to the bottom.

Good luck.

Komies- Thanks for getting back to me.

I have a concrete background and tracks running vertically on it in the artwork (texture) in other words, the tracks are part of the artwork being used. That's the only way I can figure out how to get the tracks to move with the tunnel.

It's not like the tracks are a single image or such.
Moving the texture size or position only spins 'em around or forward/back.

Know what I mean?

Thanks, BOb

I think I do.

The rails on the ceiling is the texture repeating itself, so with the texture size you make the texture as big until it is not repeating itself (use the beachball texture to see what I mean), but now the rails have moved towards the ceiling and to correct this use the texture position to set it back to the floor.

It is possible that you need the redraw the tracks because them where to wide to begin with.

Komies-

It took some doing and manipulating for sure
but it worked!!!

I can't thank you enough since this is going into
a television ad that I have to get out soon.

THANK YOU ever so much!

Once I get up to speed with this software
I'll be sure to try to help other (new-bees) out
such as myself.

Best regards, Bob

Vincent- I will be sure to do so. May be awhile though because I just remembered it won't air until October and I can't put it on YouTube now to stream. I needed to get it done for a meeting this Friday. It's a political ad.

Thanks again for those tips on containers. Although I changed my idea, your impeccable insight and other tips were marvelous in helping me get up to speed.

Thanks, Bob
