Wonderful....can you explain a bit of sketch layer ....

Dani, 2 years ago

Dani, i drew the sketch using freehand function, then i have adjusted curves with beziers and bend turns.

Great first 3d sketch, Vincent

Have you tried to make a Rollercoaster yet?

komies, 2 years ago

Hi komies, i have not tried to create rollercoaster for the moment, i am trying some simple sketch with small elevation but i think that will be one of the next steps.
Bixelangelo 4.0 is great. Congratulation michiel, you did a good job!

Nice!

Have you tried using the SMOOTH prop of the sketch layer? Maybe it can help to make the road more smooth.

michiel, 2 years ago

I have already used smooth property but not on this show ,and it's a very intersting and powerful function, about that when you draw (freehand) a sketch there is like an auto bezier spline, would it be possible in a next version to have a setting for the amount of it or for the less the possibility to disable it ? thank you and again bravo, Bixelangelo 4 is a great program.

It's an interesting phenomenon that a sketch can *look* smooth, but *feel* rough once you start riding it. The SMOOTH prop can help making it feel smooth as well.

Maybe we can add a "curve optimization tolerance" slider in the settings dialog. Thank you for the request.

Hi Vincent, how did you create these guard rails?

Kauzito, 2 years ago

Kauzito, this is done with a sketch (same as the road but rail profil) textured with a grid picture, size of texture must be adjusted according lengh of the sketch.
A 2nd solution is to attach text layers (IIIIIIIIII) to road sketch, in this case you must adjust number of I, font size, spacing, character size and orientation to match with road.

Thanks!
