Professional broadcast quality weather graphics!

How did you do the effect at the beginning (the right side) of the scroller?

Thank you Thor5ten LB and michiel, merci Patrick pour vos commentaires toujours pleins d'humour, gracias persiana, i used Special\ParticleFilmstripAdditive.cfx

Vincent, I mean the effect at the beginning of the scroller. How do you do this?

I tried the Special\ParticleFilmstripAdditive effect, but failed.

The above screenshot has been photoshopped. It would be easy to create a new cfx that does the same but that would be silly if an already existing effect can do the same.

Fantastic, Vincent! I like the many details.

Thank you very much Ulli. Michiel, scroller must be placed in a colourmap and ParticleFilmstripAdditive.cfx applied to colormap.

Vincent, I'm totally puzzled by your trick. Could you please post a simple show in this community demonstrating your trick? Thank you!

Done! michiel.

I don't remember how i found the trick but i used it the 1st time here when colourmap layer was added to BluffTitler

The only feature of the Special\ParticleFilmstripAdditive effect that you use is texture clamping. This prevents the texture from repeating.

When you set the TEXTURE SIZE prop of the EPS layer (that is using the colourmap layer rendering the scroller) to a value less than 1, the texture is clamped.

It works, but it's cryptic so we'd better create a new effect that is easier to understand and use.

Thank you!
