michiel, Sma, snafu and 3 others like this!

Michiel,
Thanks for the advice, for a birthday I realized a gift box that I wanted to put in my video. The box is an animated parallelepiped.
Some precautions are to be taken:
1 - The opposite faces are of the same dimensions (width and height in pixels)
P1: 900 px x 700 px (front side)
P2: 580 px x 700 px (right side)
P3: 900 px x 700 px (rear side)
P4: 580 px x 700 px (left side)
P5: 900 px x 580 px (top side)
P6: 900 px x 580 px (bottom side)

2 - 6 images are inserted into a container, which facilitates the animation of the box.

3 - Each image layer for 1st texture "image P" and use the effect "V11_ColourMap_Cubemap.cfx"

4 - Each image is positioned in the axis referential of the container to an X and Y rating precise, to find the X and Y, I positioned each side full screen and used the "Pivot" property by moving the axes XY of the pivot to the edges of the image (shown with F2) There may be another more direct method, but I have not found.

5 - The size of the images has been taken = 1, except for P5 and P6 size is X = Y = 0.83, to assemble to size the top face and the bottom face, 0.83 = 580 px / 700 px.
I enclose the result and media files.

Great show, thanks for sharing!

One remark: you use the Effects\V11\V11_ColourMap_Cubemap effect, but you do not use the 2nd texture slot (the cubemap). For this reason the Effects\Lightened effect produces the exact same result.

Michiel,
Thank you, I have not seen any difference with or without "CubeMap.dds" or even if I kept the same image for the 2nd texture for more sharpness, it's why I left empty the 2nd texture.
But it is certainly a mistake, also I will heed the advice, I'll add "CubeMap.dds" in 2nd texture but without much understanding.

Merci pour le partage.

It certainly is not a mistake. The cubemap is optional.

The example cubemap that comes with the installer (CubeMap.dds) shows a street in Amsterdam so this does not work very well on a tropical island ?

For information concerning above-4
I've been looking for the approximate position of X and Y of each face by moving the pivot point until the reach the edge of the image.
For P1 and P3: Xmini = - 160 Xmaxi = 160 Ymini = - 124.5 Ymaxi = 124.5
For P2 and P4: Xmini = - 103 Xmaxi = 103

Actually, I'm complicated task, because simply display "Technical Info" (Ctrl + F1), tab "Models" to find the exact size of the images and therefore the exact position:
For P1 and P3: Xmini = - 160.714 Xmaxi = 160.714 Ymini = - 125 Ymaxi = 125
For P2 and P4: Xmini = - 103.571 Xmaxi = 103.571
