When the active layer is a text layer and you press the ATTACH BORDER TO ACTIVE LAYER... button, another text layer is created that is attached to the active layer.

This is a parent child relationship.

In this example the grey part is the parent and the red part is the child.

The child layer copies many properties from its parent layer. For example when you move the parent layer, the child automatically follows. For this reason the child layer has no POSITION property.

Also, the child layer copies the text of the parent layer. For this reason the textbox of the child layer is disabled. If you want to edit the text, select the parent layer.
