vincent, DaDa, avidkim and 1 other like this!

This show introduces 2 new FX files:

The inside of the phone uses a new version of the ReflectiveWater.fx. It renders the first texture on the front and if present, the second on the back.

The border of the phone uses ReflectiveWater_CubeMap.fx. This effect combines the reflective water effect with cubemapping. Cubemapping is an advanced form of reflection mapping. It uses only a single texture and that texture must be a cubemap in the DDS format.

As always, examine the F9 dialog to find out which textures and FX file the active layer is using.

Note that this show does not use the rippling part of the reflective water effect. You can turn it on by setting the FX RIPPLING AMPLITUDE property to a non-zero value.

Very impressive, Michiel. You're keep getting over my head, but I'm certainly enjoying the ride!

At any time you can change the aspect ratio to anything you like by pressing the SET SHOW RESOLUTION button.

And you can download all media files, including the FX files by choosing FILE / SAVE SHOW + ALL MEDIA FILES....

How is it possible to change the phone that is used in this show?

For example, if I wanted to use a Samsung Galaxy S2 White in place of the Iphone? or maybe an HTC phone, etc, etc?

Is that possible?

This BluffPhone isn't much more than a rectangle with a silver rounded border. I'm sure you can get it to look like the phones you mention by adjusting the BluffPhoneFront.png and BluffPhoneBack.png pictures (used by layer 4)

I'd already created a show with those images replaced, and now that you made your comment, I realised I just need the correct phone images and a little manipulation of the radius property and the cubemap that's used for the border.

Sorry for being so stupid!

Good computer graphics is like magic: it looks more complex than it really is! A phenomenon BluffTitler likes to exploit :)
