I have created two BluffTitler clips with Alpha channel to import into an Avid Media Composer Project. I have done this many times before in previous years.
In this case, both Clip A and Clip B have different attributes and text, but they both have the same Preset as their source.
I Link and Transcode Clip A into Avid, no problem, however, when I do the same with clip B, Avid Links to Clip A, no matter what I try, (place in different folders, flush cache etc.)
I know from recent experience that the best, and possibly only, way to rectify this is to delete the previous file so that Avid has no choice, however in this instance I want both clips, I don't want to delete Clip A.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can differentiate Clip A from Clip B as Avid sees them?
When deleting the previous file does the trick, (temporarily) renaming this file must also work.
Realize that this community is about BluffTitler. The Avid community/forum is a better place to ask this question.

No it doesn't. It's not just renamed, it had a different name and different characteristics from the beginning, but what the two files share is that they were both created from the same preset.
However, you're right that it is an Avid import abnormality. As it turns out, I was able to reprocess the file in Shutter Encoder which modified the metadata and Avid was then happy to import it.
Thank you, I was just flailing around, hoping someone was able to help :)

So Avid tracks down and uses this renamed fileππ€π΅π« Are you sure you have flushed its cache? I would have no mercy and shift delete everything inside its temp folder.
When you ever find a structural solution (other than the Shutter Encoder workaround) please post it on this page. Thank you!
