Ilja, MrGruntHunter, Tintin and 6 others like this!
I was contacted about this old pack, originally designed in 2012 for Magix NLE VideoDeLuxe version 17 on Windows 7, which doesn't work well on Windows 11. This is due to improvements in newer software, rendering the pack obsolete, even though it works perfectly on my old hardware. BluffTitler, for which virtually nothing is impossible, allowed me to reconstruct this pack:
• Starting with a 3D Cube.glb file, each face of which is made up of 4 sub-models, for a total of 24, which allow it to explode. This ".glb" file was created with Blender.
• Using BluffTitler, a different color map (photo) was assigned to each sub-element. Exporting the rotation associated with the cube's explosion results in a 6-second video
".avi with transparent background".
• With MAGIX 2026's VDL (like any video editing software), simply place the video created with BluffTitler across multiple lines of the timeline with a 1.30" offset.
The media file containing the "Exploded cube 3D.glb" file, the BluffTitler folder, and the Magix folder is available at the following link:

You can then customize the textures of each sub-element of the cube's faces.
Happy editing!

When it starts looping it becomes a hypnotizing effect!
How about publishing it as a perfectly looping YouTube short? In the YouTube app on your phone, shorts loop automatically. I think this video could work really well as a looping short!

GREAT Idea !!
“This way we can create any shape in Blender and then replace the map in BluffTitler.

Nice, love it.

That short worked out really well. More than 1200 views on the first day. Toutes mes félicitations!
What is your secret?
Is it the combination of AI pictures with 3D animation?

Hello Michiel,
If there is a secret, it's one that's about fifteen years old and has only gotten better with age! I created this show for a family celebration, which I never shared publicly because it was very personal. Each face of the cube featured a portrait of one of my four grandchildren, aged 3 to 10, with different expressions.
Afterwards, I made a pack of them on Magix Info with numbered faces and random landscape photos. If I remember correctly, this pack was somewhat successful with Magix Info, but I have to admit the artistic result was just acceptable.
With all the new features of BluffTitler, I tried again and achieved this result, which was very well received, much to my surprise!
Trying to analyze this success, here are a few possible explanations:
• You mentioned the mesmerizing effect of the movement: I believe this comes from the repetition of the rotation combined with the bursting motion, which creates a feeling of vertigo.
• During various tests, I realized that given the large number of moving images, it was necessary to avoid mixing too many image types, and to avoid having four very different images on a single side. Hence the idea of using faces with different expressions; a task greatly facilitated by AI.
• A basic Magix background that could symbolize the light of a church choir worked well to highlight these faces, a bit like in a museum.
• And to complete the atmosphere, a choral song with ethereal vocals was a welcome addition.
This montage could be very interesting for themed shorts, on animals, flowers, etc. The key is to have the imagination.
I improved the previous version. See the media file at the link:

AI can do short clips of smooth organic shapes like human faces, but struggles with longer videos with hard-edged geometry like planes, cubes and fonts fully rotating in 3D: it fails to maintain the strict geometric consistency. Your video does all of this and uses the right technology for the right job so that might have caused the interest!

Thank you all for your feedback.
I find your analysis insightful and perceptive, worthy of a professional like yourself, my dear Michiel.
As you've seen, I primarily use three software programs: BluffTitler for compositing and visual effects, Blender for 3D modeling and object modification, Magix VideoDeLuxe for video editing, and a little AI for creating certain images and short video clips if I don't have them in my personal media library.
Regarding the evolution of this artistic field, my opinion as a long-time, self-taught, non-professional amateur should be taken with a grain of salt. Both old and new consumer-grade NLEs are all moving towards AI and becoming expensive and infernal, overly complex systems, whereas a basic NLE with BT is more than sufficient, even if it means occasionally selecting images or short videos from your preferred AI in a burgeoning, burgeoning field. Until human intelligence is directly connected to control artificial intelligence, the result cannot be artistically satisfying… Perhaps one day… But I won't be around to see it!
Sincerely.
