I am trying to get an effect that has a stationary spotlight positioned in front of a string of text and then have that spotlight slowing scan/rotate across the front of the text.
I currently have the "spotlight" texture attached to a Point Light but can find no way to achieve this effect. Is this possible to do?

Thanks for the tutorials. I will view them a couple times to see if I can pick up what you are doing. Unfortunately, I am not fluent in Spainish.
I don't really need to show a spotlight, I just wanted some moving illumination to pass across my text.

I just figured out how to do what I wanted.
Just found the new "flare.fx" that Michael published a few months back. I downloaded and attached that to the "spotlight.png" texture and I can now position the light as desired and rotate the light beam.
