My software is Bluff Titler v 8.3.1.2

This is weird. I saw a nice effect with an example program "Planet1.bt" & decided to modify it to my needs. The problem is I want to change the default outerspace.jpg that came with my software purchase to a new star field but when I use "Add Picture Layer" the new jpg picture comes in extremely dark, even when using the same pixel size (800x600). I even used "Add Picture Layer" for the original outerspace.jpg to see what would happen & it came in dark as well???

Can't figure this one out. What am I doing wrong? An ideas?

I still don't get it but I was able to fix my issue by selecting the Picture Layer, then instead of "Add Picture Layer", I used "Change Effect..." & selected the new jpeg. Worked great!

Consider this "SOLVED".

Must be a lighting problem.

Most of the time you do not want to lighten your background pictures. Easiest way to do this is to apply the notlightened.fx effect. Press the CHANGE EFFECT... button to select and apply this effect.
