Radlerklaus, JimH, Actionfilms and 1 other like this!

Here's an attempt to improve the burning text effect.

The properties of the particle layer that I've been tweaking are:
-EMISSION (the number of particles that are being emitted per second)
-MAXIMUM AGE (the lifetime of the particles in seconds)
-GRAVITY (this controls the direction and speed of the particles)

To save this effect as a preset, select the particle layer (layer 5) and choose PRESET / SAVE PRESET AS...

After doing that, the effect is visible in the preset dialog when you attach a particle layer with the ATTACH PARTICLES TO ACTIVE LAYER button.

I like it! But I like it better with the launch speed reduced to 25. I tried an experiment where I imported a photo of a person in PNG with transparent background and attached the new burning text partical layer to him. It look great! Now we just need to be able to import animated frames so I can have my actor running around burning!

Thanks for the quick response Michiel!
