Create a 3D Room From a Still Photograph

Dani, 4 years ago

Here is a down and dirty version, made it in 20 minutes trial of a 3d room.

With a better picture and time to compose you can do a hell of a job.

It's done with the photoshop option vanishing point and saved it as 3ds and then converted it to .x for Blufftitler import.

Thanks Dani for the suggestion.

Very intersting, i always would something like that. Sometimes on TV documentaries i see 2D to 3D effect as if a 2D pic was decomposed in different 3DSpace layers (which criter ?), then during camera traveling paralax/perspective effect appears as in a 3D scene.
I don't knows if it is done by an automatic plugin process or manual clipping of the original 2D picture.

I couldn't find the original photo so I grabbed it from the video. The resolution is therefore lower but now you all can compare better.

Again with a better picture and more time......

Bix is in the room!

Thank you for all your efforts and much appreciated .
We need to work with ps to get this Yes?
then save it 3d then convert to .x into bt.

Dani, 4 years ago

Yes, In the third video do as it says until the export to AE, choose export to 3DS instead.

Then convert this now 3d object (peepshow box) into DirectX .X format with your converter or modeler of choice so you can import it into BT.

komies, 4 years ago

which converter you use to 3DS to .X.

Dani, 4 years ago

Blender, it is free :)

And because I use it to model simple objects.

You have to follow the link to add .X to the export options.

komies, 4 years ago

Hola Komies, ¿que formatos se pueden importar al blender para con vertirlos a .X ?

persiana, 4 years ago

Persiana : i believe that default importation formats are : 3DS, OBJ, STL, DAE, FBX, LWO and i know that it is possible to add scripts for more formats.
