What is the purpose of the text rotation center in the text position?
When you say "rotation center", you mean the PIVOT POINT property of the text layer, right?
This sets the point around which the text rotates when animating the TEXT ROTATION property.
When you press <F2>, the pivot point is visualised with cyan, yellow and purple arrows. In this screenshot the text rotates around the centre of the O.
