Hi my dear BT-Friends,
I have made a quick-test with the fantastic new Octopus effect.

If someone does not have a 3d program - here is a very simple 3d model to test the effect (the model needs only 1 tentacle).

Yes you are right, the octopus model only needs 1 tentacle. This way it's 8 times smaller and loads 8 times faster!

However, this tentacle must not be defined straight down, but with a pitch of 45 degrees.

To tell the effect the position of the tentacle, use the FX BEAK POSITION and FX TENTACLES RADIUS props. It helps temporarily setting the FX SHOW COORDINATE SYSTEM property to 1.

On the screenshot you can see one of the 6 models that comes with the Sea Monsters pack.

A bit tricky. Handling 8 arms isn't easy for us humans 😉

Thnx for the model!

But what's with the eye? Don't get one, don,t see one.

I did my model in 30 seconds and only to show the technique, so it's just an oval with a square line like a leg. I recommend everyone to buy the new BixPack is too good to do experiments at home with self-built model.

Thank you for your feedback, my dear friends. 😃
But please - no thanks for my simple model. 🐙

@ Franco
This model looks much better than mine! 👍
I am working with Blender only for converting.

I agree with you, Franco! But the curiosity was greater... 😊

@ Filip
Yes, no eyes. The model is for an quick first test, Filip! 😳

@ Michiel
Thanks a lot for your suggestions, Michiel!
I have made my model with an Metaball. A test with an model that consisted of two joined objects (body and tentacle) did not work correctly. 😢

@Ulli I know, especially when you see that the model multiplies and you want to find out why ...LOL !!

Anyway I said why Michiel has added the effect already in BluffTitler and I believe that all the work that has been done is worth recognizing by buying this wonderful BixPack!
