On loading the added show the camera only links tot the transparant path after the transparency is switches off and back on.

When other layers depend on the invisible layer, do not set its TRANSPARENCY prop to 1, but apply the Invisible effect:
-choose the menu item MEDIA > CHANGE EFFECT....
-click on the SELECT EFFECT... button
-select the Invisible effect
