is it possible to export the MP4 with transparency? The exported video does not appear to be transparent.

I don't believe the MP4 format supports transparency.
Luckily the AVI format does! To export with transparency info, choose FILE > EXPORT AS VIDEO... and select the UNCOMPRESSED AVI WITH TRANSPARENCY option.
There's also a COMPRESSED AVI WITH TRANSPARENCY option but this only works if the selected codec supports it, which is extremely rare.

If you need a alpha channel video，you can try avi,gif,tga,swf.
