In this test I tried the Sinus.cfx on a Particle layer, a Text layer, a Picture layer and a Sketch layer.
I also tried to texture the Picture layer with a Colourmap layer, but that didn't work.

Good experiments!
Realize that you can keep it simple and limit yourself to the picture layer. Here are 4 company logos created with nothing more than a picture layer using the new Sinus effect and a flat text. The focus is limited to the FX props of the Sinus effect, the font and the colours. It doesn't require much more to make a startup happy!
