With the Position property the middle and the right Mouse button have the same function: change depth (zoom). Wouldn't it be possible to use the middle Mouse button for a rotation around the vertical axis ?
Very often a positioning includes that rotation.
Just an idea ...

When you say "middle mouse button", you mean the mouse wheel, right?

The mouse wheel is connected to the 3rd slider of the active property. So it only controls the depth position when the POSITION property is the active property.

When you select the ROTATION prop, the mouse wheel controls the roll. And when the COLOUR prop is selected, it controls the blue component.

Ref: Pan tool in SketchUp

I mean drawing the pushed middle mouse button to get a rotation around the verticale axis with the positioning option selected. After loading an object there is always the positioning followed by the mentioned rotation wich both could be accomplished by just pushing Alt-1.
Time is money you see 😄

Yes.

I just found out that the mouse wheel is indeed clickable. Maybe it's my particular mouse, but it takes a lot of force. I'll dive into the world of the middle mouse button, thanks for your request!
