For the best possible quality, postpone compression until the final output: do all your editing/mixing with uncompressed or lossless formats. For this reason, when the BluffTitler video is meant for mixing in Vegas I always use uncompressed. Yes, those files are huge but this is irrelevant because they are only temporary files.
