Nice way to do it. The 90 degree turns look a bit unnatural so I would avoid such sharp angles, but apart from that it looks very natural. The animation speed and walk speed are perfectly matched!

Yes @Michiel I made the match between speed and displacement in a way that was credible.
If I wanted I could soften the angle when it rotates, but the important thing for me was that the model
remained in front of the path. (as direction of movement)

it was just a "technical" example to show that the avatar follows the path
and is frontally hooked to it. Then, as I did in the following animations, the path
is made invisible. I left the sharp corners to show that it turns automatically,
these corners also need to be softened.
But looking at this animation of mine I came up with the idea of ​​putting the path vertically
and make the avatar go up the stairs.
