Version 16.6.0.7, launched today, can export the waving flag layer as GLB!

Choose FILE > EXPORT AS MODEL.. to export your show as an animated 3D model:

Waving flag layer

More about the waving flag layer here:
outerspace-software.com...

How it technically works

The GLB format does not know anything about flags, wind direction, wind speed, air resistance or even physics in general. So the only way to store an animation of a waving flag is to store every frame as a morph target. This means storing the displacements of all positions and normals of all vertices of all frames. This works, but requires a lot of memory. A few seconds eats away about 20 MB, so be careful with this feature. This also means that the animation always plays exactly the same. In contrast, BluffTitler always renders it differently.

Blender

In the screenshot you can see a BluffTitler show exported as GLB and imported into Blender. I really have no idea how to animate a flag in Blender, but with BluffTitler I have it waving within a minute!

Great!

Even better! 💖
Given the technique adopted for this "stratagem", it is not worth it
export flag to reload as GLB in BluffTitler?
Or can it be used?

Franco, of course you can import exported GLB files back into BluffTitler.

Simply create a new model layer:

@Michiel

yes I know I can import a GLB template into BluffTitler
I was wondering if it made sense to do it with the flag because you wrote
which to export it requires a lot of memory for the type of saving you need to make.

Anyway, thanks for this function because as you wrote, we can also export the flag in GLB which otherwise wasn't possible.

Thanks, I'll do some testing anyway.

Merci beaucoup Michiel pour cette nouvelle fonction d'exortation.
