Is there a way to control how sensitive the VJ_Particles_Additive.cfx will react to the audio layer? Sometimes the audio is soft but I still want it to flicker a little.

maybe you can try to adjust Threshold, Max, frequencies in VJ panel.

Yes, the VJ dialog gives you much more control. It allows you to connect any property of any layer with any sensitivity to any frequency range. In this case, select the TRANSPARENCY property, set the SENSITIVITY to 1 and select the AUDIO radio button.

The effects in the VJ folder have been created before the VJ dialog. This VJ dialog has made the VJ_Particles_Additive effect deprecated. It's only there to stay compatibility with old shows.
