NextPreviousHomeRotate with Container feature request

Hi Michiel,

Just a quick feature request for future if I may please.

Would it be possible for a shape, model or text to have the option 'not to rotate' with the container whilst the attached to it?

I'm trying something with particles and dummies and just thought this would be a good feature to have. Stops particles rolling away from their course due to rotation. Would make multi particle layer effects a bit easier.

Regards Bob

So the layer attached to the container should take over the position of the container but not its rotation?

Yes that's right Michiel,

This means that an object, for instance, could spin whilst a hidden object emitted partices on a fixed path without being effected by rotation. Both could be part of the same container, one just following position, whilst the other all attributes of the container layer.

Yes you can do this now, but the key frames for position etc must be exactly same as container, and builds layers really quickly which changing keys on becomes a real task.

This seemed a nice solution and would allow Bluff to enhance it's container function and allow layers which move and layers which don't to be contained and easily keyframed.

Regards Bob

Aha, I think you want the particles to live in the global world space instead of the local space of the layer it is launched from.

This way the particles are no longer connected to any layer after they are emitted.

Good suggestion, thank you!

Yes! That's a better way to describe it :)

Thanks Michiel
