When you enjoy experimenting, here's a hidden feature of version 16.1: when you enter "prevframe" as the URL in the MEDIA > CHANGE TEXTURE... dialog, it renders the previous frame.

This has been added for debugging, but we recently found out it can be used to create all kinds of trails, motion blur and video feedback effects.

Here's how to do it:
1) click on the NEW SHOW button
2) select the camera layer, press <F9> and select the NotLightened effect
3) add a picture layer, press <F9> and type "prevframe" as the URL of the 1st texture

That's it!

Now enjoy the feedback effects by:
-moving the picture layer around (POSITION property)
-change its transparency (TRANSPARENCY property)
-switch to 3D IN BACKGROUND
-add other layers: particles, animated 3D models,...

Have fun experimenting!
