Here's my solution to Vincent's challenge:

My goal was to only use a single text layer, but I ended up using 2: one extra for the glow. So when you edit the text, make sure to edit both text layers: mark the ALL LAYERS checkbox or use the EDIT > CHANGE ALL TEXTS... menu item.
As always, less layers is less flexible and more cryptic so use the solution that works best for you. Download Vincent's solution here:
