V17 introduces cool new ways to attach a sketch layer to a text layer:
-make the text layer the active layer
-click on the ADD SKETCH LAYER... button
-answer YES in the dialog
This is how the WRAPPED preset looks like.
Whether a part of your text is wrapped or not depends on the shape (min distance, max distance, min angle, max angle). In the current version you can't control this, but what you can control is the shape. In this screenshot both text layers use the INVERTED style, but with a different BEVEL prop value. As you can see, this changes the sketch.
The INVERTED style is set with the 3d dropdown below the textbox. It uses the BEVEL prop to set the thickness. Make the 3rd dropdown the active dropdown and press <F1> for the help window for more info about the active style.
Sometimes you have to do a refresh (press <F5>) to force all layers to respond to the changes you've made.

Lightads, yes that's true so you might want to save your show after adjusting the BEVEL prop and before hitting <F5>.
In the current version the sketch layer attached to the text layer using the INVERTED style does not understand that it needs to update itself when the BEVEL prop of the text layer has changed. This will be fixed in the next launch. For now, the refresh trick is a useful workaround.

In version 17.0.0.2 the sketch is automatically updated when you update the BEVEL prop. So a manual refresh is no longer necessary.
