Tintin, Ulli, vincent and 4 others like this!

The colourmap layer can now be exported as a picture file:
-make the colourmap layer the active layer
-choose FILE > EXPORT AS PICTURE...

Antialiasing

The antialiasing quality depends on the general quality. Choose SETTINGS > SUPER HIGH QUALITY for best quality.

HDR

HDR pictures are generated when the 1st dropdown of the colourmap layer is set to HDR. The best file format for HDR is probably PNG.

Multiple functions

So the FILE > EXPORT AS PICTURE... menu item now has 3 functions:

1) when the active layer is a cubemap: export as 360° picture:
-DDS cubemap when the DDS format is selected
-equirectangular projection for all other file formats

2) when the active layer is a colourmap: export this colourmap as a picture

3) for all other layer types: export the current frame (screenshot) as a picture

Maybe this sounds like hidden features, but this way it does not require extra GUI elements, no extra translations and keeps the app simple and easy for beginning users!

Download

Version 15.4.0.2 can now be downloaded from the download page:
