NextPreviousHomeMOV codec addition request

Hello everyone.

BT can select AVI or RosRes4444 (XQ) to export video on the alpha channel.
I think this is a great feature, but unfortunately it uses ffmpeg to output RosRes, so it's not treated as a legitimate RosRes video.
As a result, I'm creating an AVI video and converting it to Quicktime-animation or Quicktime-PNG in Adobe Premiere.

I don't think there are many apps that can export MOV videos on Windows PC. I think it would be more convenient for users if animation and PNG codec MOVs could be exported directly from BT.

I have a question.
Is it technically possible to add animation or PNG codecs to BT?
If possible, can I request it?

I do not know why FFmpeg created MOVs are "not treated as a legitimate RosRes video". Technically they work fine and are accepted in all apps I tried. When you know an external encoder that works better for your purpose, let us know!

For pictures codecs, BluffTitler uses WIC. Press <Ctrl><F1> and select the WIC tab for a list of all the WIC codecs installed on your system. I have never done this, but I guess it must be possible to change the PNG codec. But as is true for MOVs, I have never encountered an app that did not accept a BluffTitler generated PNG file. You must be using a pretty whiny app. Is this still the iStock issue?

@ Michile

That's right.
iStock.

As you said, BT's RosRes codec is successfully recognized by apps such as DaVinci Resolve, VEGAS Pro, and Adobe Premiere Elements.

You can use ProRes output by BT by yourself.
"Not treated as a legitimate RosRes video" means selling them rather than using them yourself.

The MOV output by the ProRes codec may need to be from a product approved by Apple.

Unfortunately, ffmpeg doesn't seem to be approved as ProRes by Apple. This will reject BT's ProRes codec MOV output.

Previously, Quicktime supported Windows. However, using Quicktime on Windows PCs is no longer recommended.

As far as I know, Adobe Media Encoder can be used to convert to animations and PNGs on Windows PCs as well. However, Adobe Media Encoder is only available with a subscription. This incurs a monthly fee.

There is a way to output animation or PNG codec MOV using Quicktime codec. However, this method is not desirable from the viewpoint of PC security.

That's why I want to be able to export animation and PNG codec MOVs directly from BT.

Please realize that BluffTitler is not a video encoder. It does not know anything about any video format. It totally depends on codecs and external encoders that are already installed on your system.

In your case, for the best quality I advise to:
-export from BluffTitler as uncompressed AVI
-use Adobe Premiere to convert to MOV

@ Michile

I wanted to save a little effort.
It's my selfishness.
Thank you for taking the time.
