chaver, crispin, vincent and 10 others like this!

The next version of BluffTitler not only renders the emoji characters in full colour, it also has the possibility to replace any emoji character by any of your own pictures.

This can be used, for example, to replace the standard alien ? by your favorite alien ?

Other use includes photos of your friends, company logos, gifts, holiday destinations,...

Yes wonderful,

Is replacing any emoji character by any of your own pictures template-able?

IOW thus the Unicode U+1F47D (alien) which was changed to an Bix image and still be the Bix image in a show file on a different PC?

Is it then wise to make a show with your preferred replaced emoji images so you do not need to do this every time you make a new show?

Thank you all!

Replacing an emoji character by your own picture is as easy as right clicking on an emoji in the MEDIA > Change text... dialog.

This is a global setting: it is not template-able and you do not have to do this every time you make a new show.

Very interesting this method to replace an emoji and is so fast!
Thanks, Michiel!

I have a request Michiel, If you happen to decide in the future to add more EMOJI's I would like to see a section with all of the Social Media logos, (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc.)
Also, If we change any of the current EMOJI's to a custom one will future upgrades to BT replace them back to the originals again?

That's not up to us. The emoji are part of the Unicode standard, which is managed by the Unicode Consortium and I don't think they will ever decide to add company logos to the standard:

Your custom emoji are not cleared when you install a new version.

Here you can see suggestions for new emoji. This includes a teddy bear, a mango, a microbe and a sad pile of poo.

Feel free to submit emoji character proposals:
