liuyongcai, vincent, Tintin and 1 other like this!

Instead of a 3D model ( outerspace-software.com... ), this show uses a voxel layer and an experimental effect. Press <F2> to see the contents of the 2 colour map layers. Of course, you can also use 2 transparent PNG files.

Advantage

The advantage is that you can quickly experiment with different texts and, when using colour map layers, can even animate it!

Disadvantage

The disadvantage is that it's slow and bad quality. Graphics cards are simply not built to render voxels ☹️

Tool?

Probably the best way is to make a tool that can input the pictures and export the 3D model. Maybe there's a plugin for Blender or an AI that can make the GLB.

Using Cantonese characters generates a pretty impressive model. This also says YES and NO, but looks like an 👽🚀. Would be cool to 3D print this!
