chaver, julio solano, Alex-Raymond T. and 9 others like this!

Tomorrow is kingsday in The Netherlands.

Normally this looks like this:
expatica.com...

Due to the Corona crisis it is going to be a very different experience ?

To create the crunchy surface of the bitterballen (a Dutch meat snack) I started experimenting with displacementmaps and normalmaps, but ended up using a particle layer. I think the result looks very tasty, even for a vegetarian like me ??

Notice the subtle shadow of the waving flag on the text. I had to use shadow maps to get this right.

Thank you Michiel for the expatica link, and also multimedia, of course.
And Happy King's Day to all the inhabitants of the Netherlands!
